Match report High flying Harold Wood arrived at The Lane full of confidence, and sitting pretty at the top of the league, having won all of their previous 3 league games of the season. So full of confidence infact, that despite only having 7 players in attendance at the start, they still elected to field, having won the toss!

Once again the Ongar batting continued where it had left off in previous weeks - in woeful style, and Ongar were soon reduced to 8-3. Opening bowler Bonner's figures after his first 6 overs, were 5 maidens, 3 wickets, for one run conceded! Rajesh and the skipper set about the job of rebuilding the innings. Unfortunately Rajesh was bowled for 26 and Sam Adders out next ball. Ongar were once again in trouble at 44-5. Big Dave was now joined by Danny Shutts and had to effectively
start rebuilding all over again, unfortunately Dan Shutts was next to perish for a useful 18, and with Big Dave (33) next to go, Ongar's resistance was finally over, with Maddog (0) and Bradders (0) (another 1st baller!). Ongar were bowled out for only 92.

After tea, Harold Woods 2 superstar openers destroyed the Ongar bowling (and nearly a few cars in the car park!) racing to an easy 10 wicket victory after only 13.3 overs.

Ongar were once again left to reflect on another poor batting display, already 4 games of the season gone, and not a
batting point in sight!
