Ongar Cricket Club Saturday 3rd XI v Southend on Sea on Sat 06 Aug 2005 at 1.30
Ongar Cricket Club Won

Match report SOS won the toss and put Ongar in to bat.

Ongar started badly when a strange smell and noise came from madcock as the ball wizzed passed him to skittle the stumps for just 4 runs. Wood joined the skipper at the wicket and together they put on a fine 79 run partnership. Skipper Suker soon went as his knees were playing up and holed out at mid on. The Sukerstar then came to the wicket and scored a very quick 64 ably supported by Wood who finished on top score of 67. The middle order threw the bat at everything and Ongar finished on 209 for 6 against probably the best bowling attack in the division. SOS came out confident that they would easly get the win but every one chipped with great performances with 2 wickets a piece for Paris, Lynn, Groves, Sukerstar and only 1 for the very unlucky Aggro. The end became nail bitting and a few chances went a begging. The skipper had to leave the field and the Sukerstar took the helm with the senior pros in support to finnish the game off with SOS falling 11 runs short of the target. Shrek.
