Match report SLH won the toss and elected to bat.

The Bowlers were licking their lips and straining at the leash to bowl on what must be the worst looking wicket in the league. Early wickets fell to the sukerstar but SLH consolidated with a big stand taking them onto 160 for 2. Madcock then made the vital break through and the wickets tumbled with SLH finishing on 169 A/O. Overy and the sukerstar took 4 wickets apeice with 1 each for Attwell and Madcock. Wood & Gravy were very unfortuant not to get wickets with both of them constantly beating the edge. Daggers was insperational behind the timbers at his first ever attempt and took 2 catches and only conceaded 1 bye.

After another inspired team talk the Ongar boys started to bat in a determined mood. Unfortuantly Madcock was given out to a very dodgy decission by his own vice captain, which brought Wood to the wicket. Wood and Gravey moved the score along before Gravy was bowled by a ball the scooted along the decK and hit the top of middle stump? The Sukerstar failed and only scored 1 quickly followed by a pair of ducks for Jacko and Maddog Ellis, then Wood was bowled on 47, to cries of jug avoidance. Only Daggers got to grips with the bowling after Wood and finished on 26 not out. Everyone was disapointed as they know this was a game we should have won!
