Match report Ongar lost the toss and were put into bat
The innings started badley with the normally dependable skipper being bowled around his legs by a ball that swung like monkey for 0. Mathew played his normal innings and got to 23 very quickly but then being bowled middle stump swinging across the line to a dead straight delivery. When will this talented cricketer learn? The batting conditions were very difficult with the ball swinging and seaming all over the place. Daggers was out LBW to a ball that would have got Boyks in his prime and both Sam and Lee were out to very good catches. Dave (take me on Thorby) came in lower down the order and got 20 very quick runs ably supported by Dan who ended up on 22 not out. Ian was unlucky to be given out LBW by his own skipper who we think was bored and wanted to go to the pub. As the innings finished we had a short rain shower which cleared the air, the clouds disapeared and the wind dropped, which made the batting conditions very much easier for the opposition. Ongar started well with a wicket for Aggro which he swears swung a mile but was infact an inside edge. At the other end the bowlers supported Aggro well and the oposition were under presure. The oposition were so worried about Aggros bowling that they called in the Southend snipper who took Aggro out with a shot just behind the knee. Aggro did manage 1 more ball off 1 pace which is said to be the best ball he ever bowled. SOS had to work very hard for there victory and it was a lot closer than the scores reflect.
