Ongar Cricket Club Saturday 3rd XI v Hadliegh & Thundersley on Sat 21 May 2005 at 1.30
Ongar Cricket Club Won 71 Runs

Match report Ongar won the toss and decided to bat. The openers started well and a huge score looked likely but unfortunately there was a middle order collapse with left Ongar on 101 for 9 with only Steve andow to bat. The side were saved again by Nick Suker who was ably supported by Steve to put on 50 runs for the last wicket (if wheel chairs had been allowed Steve may have scored 50 him self) to finish on 151. A very young Hadleigh side were then put under pressure by some fine bowling from Lee Paris, Steve Andow and James Dick taking his first wickets for Ongar at a vital time. The bowlers were ably supported by some fine fielding with both the president and Michael dick taking outstanding catches. The tail were soon polished off and Ongar recorded a 71 run victory.
